What: |
Los Angeles magazine is teaming up with Biscuit Company Lofts, the landmark and newly renovated National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) bakery building, to create a one-of-a-kind interior design showcase featuring three lofts in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. Three Biscuit Lofts penthouse residences, with their sweeping views of Los Angeles, will be the dramatic setting for three different interpretations of loft living. The lofts will be designed by Kenneth Brown (star of HGTV’s reDesign) for the L.A. Mart Design Center, Aleks Istanbullu (architect/designer of Biscuit Lofts) for Biscuit Lofts, and Matt Andersen-Miller and John Andersen-Miller (noted bi-coastal designers/architects, Andersen-Miller Design) for Menzie International. Once the process of design and furnishing each loft is completed, Biscuit Lofts’ penthouses will open their doors for public tours from April 13 – 29, 2006. The tours will be promoted through ads in Los Angeles magazine as well as through other media and grassroots marketing. In addition, each unique loft will be featured in a special section in the June 2007 issue of Los Angeles magazine. The nonprofit Gen Art, the leading organization dedicated to showcasing emerging artists, will benefit from the net proceeds of ticket sales and a pre-tour fundraising event. To kick off the tour, Los Angeles magazine and Gen Art will host a pre-opening fundraiser at Biscuit Lofts on April, 11 2007.
